***Wednesday Club is no more!***

It is now Thursday club in a new location. Please see the 'Thurs Club' link on the calendar page.

***Home Education on the Radio!***

BBC Radio Solent are broadcasting a programme on the 5th March on the Charlie Crocker show from 1pm about home education!

If you would like to call into the show and talk about your experience of home education then the call in number is 0845 3030961.

***Don't forget about this event!***

Put you hand up to support home education as it is.

We will add our hands to the website http://www.handsup4homeed.blogspot.com/

We will have information about some of the changes that some LEAs have requested and we will have some suggestions for letters that you can send to the DfES and our local MP.

As well as this it will be a good social event, the learning zone choir will give a dress rehearsal performance of their festival songs.

Nerissa will have information and ideas for her Life Zones activity.

Please bring food to share (finger foods would be easiest as the hall doesn't have great cutlery), we will eat at about 5 and pack up at six.

Bring toys or games to play with too.

You don't have to come for the whole time, you can drop in and do your hands if you like and then go again.

Please try and be there, there are changes afoot that could significantly effect how we home educate our children, we need to be engaged with this.

Thanks Susan

Really important event for the Zone especially as the slot on Today programme on Radio 4 Saturday morning that featured home education was quite negative and seemed to support the governments view that home education should be monitored and discouraged!  We could really do with as many people as possible to support this event so that we can start to canvas views, let people know the full implications of the proposals and begin thinking about the best way for individuals and the groups to respond.

***Password change!***

As of the 5th March the members only sections of this site has been changed. Please contact Charlotte for more details.

***New stuff added***

I've added some of the work the children have done on the member's only pages. I'm going to be doing a major change to the website soon, and having members and non-members pages totally seperate, save having to put in your password on every page. So, the layout of the pages might be a bit rubbish! If you have a particular way you think would look cool for one of the pages, email me, and I can add/change things.

I've also added Zone members details, up to date bulletin and (soon) the latest newsletter (all in member's only).

***Charlotte gets bossy!***

Hello everybody! I'm on the scrounge for stuff for the website.  By stuff I mean, photos, pictures, articles, links, short stories, anything that YOU would like to see up there.  This is YOUR website, not just mine, so I need YOUR input into it!  This email is to adults and children! I look forward to recieving all your inspiring pieces of work SOON! In particular, I have some pages ready to go up about warhammer, pets/teddies, older girls and penpals.  This was stuff that was sent to me from Reb that people contributed to.  I can put all this up on the site, but I need some photos of pets and links to warhammer sites (that you know and are good) that I can put with them. Thanks very much, Charlotte
