The Isle of Wight Leaning Zone is a support group for families on the Isle of Wight who choose to educate their children other than at school.  We are a member-led group that provides a network of support through regular newsletters, a website and a yahoo forum.  Individual members organise activities for each other.  The emphasis is very much on family sharing and learning.

We accept members from all walks of life; single parents, unemployed, families juggling work commitments, families whose children may have a disability or behavioural problem.  Anyone can home educate, although it helps to have a sense of humour, a broad mind and the willingness to be flexible.  So, whether you are new to the HE game, or have been doing it for some time; whether you have been on the Island long, or considering moving to the Island because of the fame of our wonderful Home Ed group, the Isle of Wight Learning Zone could be for you!
